"I reckon its now my turn to win some or learn some"

With Jason Mraz swimming in my head, and an urge to hug everyone i see. Miss Pearl hops, skips and jumps back home...
Always Missing all her old friends.
Yet now the new ones now as well!
Proof that maybe a little love was spread through the week. Tiny notes shared, that glimmer of inner worlds shared.

Sometimes I wonder just how I will manage having a job. Too many tea parties to attend. Yet if its one thing that was learnt this past week...
Is balance.
Real balance.
So, no more " I can't handle consumerist tendencies and fast paced living so I'll just run as far from it as I possibly can til I simply watch blue wrens all day"
Yes, the blue wrens are beautiful. But this laze fare lifestyle is escapist and sets me up nil for where I actually want to be.

I also learnt that I can talk about myself. ALOT. and would probably benefit from doing so a little less...

So many inspiring, beautiful, motivated individuals that revealed that we all have a story and we all live through our stories to make our world a little better.
(hopefully)

So, in short... Expectations met. Jumped off some tall stuff, heard a bunch of motivational speakers...Met some life long lovelies and drank my weight in peppermint tea.
Proof that my hand defies the solidarity of wood.
Miss Marlie decided I was at Ninja school.
So many new connections and possibilities in this world...
So many new plans for new adventures...

"Come fly with me, come fly... we'll fly away..."

The meaning of abundance

Safe and sound.

Returned to a single blueberry on my tree.
Fleeting and sweet.

Like many things.

Dear Miss: Rotarian Rylarian

A new post has been long in the works. Sometimes life has a way of actually happening... thus the  enjoyment of such life is deemed more important than reporting it.
But since many new adventures are in motion; as is a new post.

This week see's Miss Pearl off to RYLA. (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). A group 90 were chosen from NSW go and chill for a week in Stanwell park and get inspired for life and love. And then hopefully ( i guess)... Use this to inspire others. (I figure this is what the leadership part is about) Conversly to Rabi escapades... there is no light packing this time! Its massive suitcases and creature comforts for me. This is the princess camp I've decided.
I hope to return with many insights and more fanciful notions of what this life thing is all about... I'll keep you posted :)

So off she sails to another unknown. BUT this time... her trusty steed.
May I introduce my 4 wheels of glory and grace:
Joan Joyce Milay.
she's a ranga coloured 1983 Sigma and we have the same birthday.
(Photos will be up soon... promise!)

Tis just a quick note for 'in the loopage' purposes...

P.s. A quick change of address in early Feb means lots of new stories. Blue Mountains here I come. Sometimes I really do stop to think about the beautiful people in my life, and the places such people lead me... and i just smile. Thankyou :)

Birthdays come but once a year.

"...In order to make his escape, I believe he took advantage of a migration of wild birds"
I woke this morning. Next to my beautiful Best friend... with Kylie Minogue in my head.
'I should be so lucky... lucky, lucky, lucky..."
Of course: This amused her greatly.
A mix of gratitude and pop music... all one needs on a Tuesday morning.

And the reason for me being so lucky.
Is the absolute amazingness bestowed upon me for my birthday.
Gluten free was a little too much to ask for. But this was possibly the most thoughtful beautiful cake! ( and I'm sure the other volunteers enjoyed it being my birthday too)

Oh to the muddy water of Kava. My first ( but not last) kava ceremony.

So whilst my actual birthday was spent supping on fresh Papaya on Rabi- amidst high flood waters and kava bowls...I had beautiful emails and post lining up for me at home.

This is just some tiny inklings of why I am so lucky:

"Here is my secret. It's quite simple: One sees clearly with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes"

Cut in 6.
6 separate post's received.
Maybe
Maybe

This
is
So
So
Special.

(Thank you mr. G&T)

Beautiful adornments: Inner princess totally satisfied.
Superb! Fill with water and he  whistles lullabies.
I plan to perfect my bird calls and whisper to them whilst sitting in my peppercorn.

Lusty Pasta. mmmm
My biggest old man crush.
If I can't travel right now... At least I can in books, with x monty python crushes.
Yes! A crocheted cactus.
No explanation needed. Amazing.

Just a bit of gratitude for the beautiful people in my life. Above and beyond beauty
Miss Marlie and Miss Katya John: You are angels.

...But enough about me.
Merry Christmas to you all. Joy and Peace to the world.
Xoxo

Floating Home.

Miss Pearl has graced sydney shores.
In total, 4 planes, 2 boats, some strange floral seated taxi's and a sauna-like local bus: and she's home.

Gladly.
Just chatting up the locals.

"It is good to know the truth, but it is better to speak of palm trees."
- Arab Proverb

Yet despite how glad I am to have a hot shower. and to be rid of my perpetual layer of sunscreen and sand.
So much was learnt.
About grace and gratitude.
An alternate reality.

-----------------------------

Our first glimpse of the islands important documents.
Just a little mouldy!

Preservation. Local history= Our task!
Success!
The work we completed, will be continued by the local librarians and community members passionate about preserving this important local history.
The Banaban story moved my heart; And this merely means more adventures.
More expansion and more giving.

Glass like water. A profound stillness.

Rabi was this little tea cup's biggest adventure. Bursting with stories... that can only be whispered over tea and catch ups.
.. Until then.

Tonight I ponder Love. And Giving. And Compassion

Embarking on my trip tomorrow reveals a space in me. This space could be filled with anxiousness... With baggage weights, flight times and ' have I packed enough crazy tie dyed cotton shirts'.
Or. I can fill this space with love.
For myself and the journeys I will have. The people I will meet.
Its a much easier space to be in.
And allows me to actually think about where and why I am going.
With my bag packed with art supplies and books;  compassion and giving fill this empty space.

And brings me to one of my most favorite of men. One of many that speaks to my heart. Centers me to where I am at right now; Out of Cofa, Out of school. Off on tangents and tangles and...

"Love lit a fire in my chest, and anything
that wasn't love left: Intellectual
subtlety, philosophy
books, school.

All I want now
to do or hear
is poetry." - Rumi.

And so the teacup is off. Launched to exotic islands for the opening of hearts, widening of eyes and the poetry of life. Its all i want to do or hear.

Suss stain a bill it ee

Funnily enough: this isn't bread.
But weekly collections of the refuse from my life.

Tear it up into tinsy little pieces.
Soak it for as long as one wishes.
In the name of all things mushy.
Making paper is v fun.

and doubles as using up all your paper... so it doesn't go... wherever the rubbish goes.
That mysterious out of sight/out of mind place. I assure you...It's probably not a good place.

Don't tell the people you live with that you use the blender for this. and make it alls mush like.
This current amazement of mushy delightfulness was composed of:
- takings from the sydney transport system. Red Travel passes!
-Envelopes and Junk mail.
-A brilliant brochure called "why Jesus?" complimented with the pamphlets found in a condom packet. I call it mingling.
Oh! and my passport application papers...
All becoming friends in one very useful conglomerate

Just chilling in the breeze.
(If anyone actually cares about the actual ins and outs of making handmade paper.. Email me and I can send you a less flowery description)

I actually think I have more paper than a little miss needs.
Pish!
Guess what everyone's getting for christmas!

Good Tidings to thee. Happy Crafting.
